PSI to Deliver New Network Control System to Brunei

Berakas Power Management Company decides in favour of PSIcontrol

Berlin, 9 February 2015 – Berakas Power Management Company (BPMC) of Brunei has awarded PSI Incontrol Sdn Bhd, a PSI AG Group Company, a new project to supply and implement a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System with enhanced Energy Management System (EMS) functions for the electrical grid operated by BPMC. The project scope includes the integration of existing remote terminal units (RTU) to the new PSIcontrol SCADA system. The system will also comprise Droop Load Sharing (DLS) and highly advanced generation control functions including Automatic Generation Control (AGC), economic dispatch and switching error prevention.

BPMC is a utility that generates, transmits and distributes electrical power to prime consumers in Brunei. BPMC has entrusted PSI to replace its existing SCADA system, which has been in operation for over a decade, with the state-of-the-art PSIcontrol system.

PSI Incontrol is well-known for its track record in supplying large SCADA systems in this region. The award of this project clearly underlines PSI Incontrol’s strong position in the South East Asian region.
