Workforce Management of PSI
The operation of widely distributed infrastructures, such as energy supply networks, cannot be realised without the coordinated efforts of the field personnel.
Jointly developed with our customers, the business division PSIEnergie-EE designed our workforce management system PSIcommand. It offers extension features for operational tasks in electricity, gas, water and district heating supply networks as well as other widely distributed infrastructures such as telecommunications.
The main tasks of PSIcommand are:
- Fault Clearance Management: fault acknowledgement, processing, fault documentation
- Maintenance Management: dispatching, implementation, documentation of maintenance and construction measures
- Crisis Management: support for high-level personnel, press, and government offices in crisis fault situations
As the operations management module of PSIcontrol, PSIcommand serves as an information hub and central coordinating point for all units operating in the field and provides functions for:
- Coordination and support of all operations activities in fault clearance and maintenance
- Optimisation of the deployment of the mobile personnel
- Support of mobile staff through direct access to all important information
- Relieving the central coordination entities through expanded functions of the mobile devices
- Continuous documentation of the operational data even at the place of operation
- Extensive integration of decentralised workstations, e.g. in supervisors’ offices of district locations or work planning offices
- Integration in important economic and logistical processes in the company through data exchange with other data processing systems
In contrast to the classic systems of control technology, users of PSIcommand are not only found at the central workstations in the control rooms but also in office areas and extensively in operations vehicles.
With PSIcommand, network operations just got simpler.
