The operations management component in PSIcontrol is responsible for managing energy networks as well as all programs and data models for online monitoring.

The task of PSIcontrol is to condense, visualise, and convey information to the operator so they can quickly and intuitively understand and react to the situation.

Rising costs are forcing energy providers to the technical limits of the network.  With the development of smart grids and smart metering the amount of information for control systems to process has greatly increased.  As this trend continues, better and more effective functionality will be demanded.  A positive effect is that with the additional information even better analysis can be done by the control system.  Due to its outstanding dynamic characteristics and the comprehensive higher-value functions, PSIcontrol is ideally equipped for these future tasks.
