Energy Management System (EMS)
PSIcontrol provides extensive energy management features for both the transmission network and the distribution network operator.
Based on archived measured values and counter values, future load runs can be determined with the integrated forecast system. Forecast procedures offer:

- Extrapolation procedures based on energy quantities
- Comparative day search
- Time series procedure
- Load profiles
For transmission network operators, PSIcontrol includes the software feature "Power-frequency control" (PFC) integrated in the control system. The PSI system includes all functions for power-frequency control which are required for maintaining power balance in the control area. In addition, integrated modules make forecast operation of the control power products possible. The optimisation strategies used here allow cost saving use of control energy as well as a secure operations mode for control power plants.
Load monitoring functions offer distribution network operators the ability to check the present and future load against supply contracts and boundary conditions. Problems can be alarmed, and appropriate measures are suggested, or even automatically executed.
