PSI presents systems for rail and bus transport, power supply and maintenance at InnoTrans

Berlin, 20 July 2016 – In keeping with the motto ‘Control complex processes efficiently’, PSI Transcom GmbH is presenting PSItraffic management solutions for rail and public transport at InnoTrans from 20 to 23 September 2016 (Hall 2.1, Stand 309). The company is also celebrating its 35th anniversary with a number of events throughout the trade fair. The PSI divisions Electrical Energy and Automotive & Industry will be represented, too, with power supply and vehicle maintenance solutions.

The focus of the presentation by PSI Transcom will be on the train management system PSItraffic/TMS, which will be used by Swiss public transport company Regionalverkehr Bern-Solothurn. The contract for this project was formally signed at InnoTrans 2014. Now the system is being put into operation and will ensure a safe, reliable and efficient train service for RBS.

PSItraffic/TMS continuously provides information regarding the status of operations, vehicle locations, disruptions, irregularities and conflicts. Integrated disruption management and comprehensive dispatching guarantee scheduled train operations at all times. The necessary safety required for rail operations is ensured by the train control module integrated in PSItraffic, which transmits train routes to the signal boxes.

All data captured by the system simultaneously forms the basis for providing the latest passenger information at stations, in trains and on mobile end devices.

Another focus of the presentation will be on the PSItraffic depot management system (DMS). The system displays all depot operations, thus creating the necessary transparency for optimum driver and vehicle dispatch, servicing and repairs. This ensures the best possible utilisation of all resources. The system reaches above and beyond the depot boundaries and seamlessly integrates trams and various types of buses (diesel, hybrid, hydrogen, trolley and electric).

To mark the company’s anniversary, PSI Transcom is inviting visitors to drop by its stand at 9.15 a.m. on 22 September 2016 for a press breakfast. Please register in advance (email: ).

The PSI division Electrical Energy is presenting the energy control system PSIcontrol for the high-quality and efficient management of railway networks and to optimise the process chain from generation to the vehicle in the network.

PSI Automotive & Industry is presenting modules of the production management suite PSIpenta which support the production and maintenance processes. Based on customer projects, systems for traceablity in the chassis production and handling of all maintenance processes of rolling stock using mobile devices will be demonstrated.

On the basis of its own software products, PSI AG develops and integrates complete solutions for energy management (gas, oil, electricity, heat, energy trading), production management (mining, metals, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics) and infrastructure management for transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs 1,650 persons worldwide.
