PSI presents extensive new developments at the E-world 2017

High-end software solutions for the energy sector

Berlin, 10 January 2017 – PSI is presenting extensive new developments for the energy sector at the E-world in Essen from 7 to 9 February 2017 (Hall 3, Stand 326). Along with software solutions for energy trading, sales and portfolio management as well as optimisation and control of virtual power plants, network control solutions will be presented. Innovations in the fields of smart operation, smart processing und smart configuration will be presented for the Gas Management Suite.

Along with performance optimisations the PSImarket energy trading system offers new functions and possibilities in many modules. The innovations include, amongst other things, the multi-currency module, portfolio management, risk management, invoicing as well as regulatory reporting and nomination or schedule management.

In addition, the advanced products PSIvpp for virtual power plants and TS Energy for the stochastic optimisation of the entire energy portfolio will be presented.

The new PSIgasport solution for contract dispatching, nomination and schedule management will also be presented. For the products for determining gas quality, PSIreko, PSIganproda and PSIganregio, PSI is also presenting the required calibration measurement uncertainty determination with Monte-Carlo simulation, the implementation of which is being conducted in close cooperation with the National Metrology Institute of Germany (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt - PTB).

Furthermore, the current functions of the PSIcontrol network control system, amongst others with an improved interface and operation, and the inclusion of what have to date frequently been project-specific functions such as disruption analysis and transmission line management in the standard will be presented. With the advanced functions of the switching application manager and the mobile components, the PSIcommand operating management system provides a closer connection to the control system. In addition, the hierarchical network management system with the local STU (Smart Telecontrol Unit) automation unit will be presented.

On the basis of its own software products, PSI AG develops and integrates complete solutions for energy management (gas, oil, electricity, heat, energy trading), production management (mining, metals, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics) and infrastructure management for transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs 1,650 persons worldwide.
